Prayer Sunday

Senior Pastor Chee-Seng FAH, Sunday 25th March

Vision

To build disciples who represents Jesus to everyone, everywhere with everything

Sunday was our very first prayer Sunday of the year. The goal was to take a step to seeing our church becoming a ‘house of prayer’ (Mark 11:15-17). This year our church will be running 3 prayer Sundays which will be followed by a week of focused prayer. This week, our church is focusing on praying through the Holy Week till Easter Sunday. The prayer guide can be downloaded from one of the buttons at the bottom of this page. The key focus of your life group today is to pray.

Here are some guidelines that will help us pray together as a life group:

  • come to God simply and humbly
  • pray in sentences, not essays
  • pray out loud so that others can hear and agree
  • pray from the Word of God
  • wait on God, listen to His Holy Spirit and then pray as He leads. Listen to what God may be saying while others are praying
  • pray with faith and expectancy

As a guide, choose one or more of the following categories to pray through together as a life group:

  1. Prayer For The Holy Week
  • share with one another your reflections from the prayer journal
  • pray over those reflections together
  • pray over those written prayers together
  1. Prayer For Our Church
  • spiritual awakening of the Holy Spirit
  • the power of breakthrough
  • personal mission – ownership, innovation, boldness, and fruit from mission
  • church for Clayton community – divine partnerships with influencers and disciples with the heart for Clayton
  • financial provision – our church is hitting 80% of our budget. Pray for God’s provision.
  1. Prayer For Personal Needs
  • share with one another any personal physical, spiritual, emotional, or relational healing/breakthroughs needed
  • pray for those personal needs
