Equipping you with the confidence to speak English, build friendships, and call this country home.
Our Encounter English Learning program has been running for more than 10 years. Our team of experienced volunteers are passionate about wanting to see newcomers to Australia build English language skills, connect with others and settle well in Australia.
Our program covers all the basics of listening, speaking, reading and writing in English, as well as teaching about the Australian culture, customs and practical everyday life requirements with some Christian teaching.
A suggested donation of $2 each week helps offset some operating costs.

On-site classes are held at Clayton Church of Christ.
*The Pre-Beginner class on Friday is a hybrid class where the first Friday of each month is at Clayton Church and then classes on the second to fourth Fridays are on-line.

Term 2: 15 April – 28 June
Term 3: 15 July – 20 September
Term 4: 7 October – 29 November
