In what’s supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, many of us watched the news with heavy hearts as the Jewish community were horrifically targeted and attacked at Bondi Beach last Sunday. Lives were lost, families were broken, and hearts were shattered. This Christmas, many in our community are shaken, grieving, and searching for meaning, and it’s into this dark and hurting world that Christ came as a light of hope and of peace. As the angels announced to the shepherds, and the star led the wise men to Jesus, we too, are called to do the same; to bring the light of Christ to our communities and to our neighbours.
