What’s On
Empower Men’s Survey
The Empower Men’s Ministry exists to sharpen men’s faith, building a culture of discipleship and courageous leadership. We believe every man is a leader — in his work, family, friendships and community. Courageous leadership means knowing what you stand for, standing for it, and sharpening other men along the journey. As Proverbs 27:17 reminds us, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
This short survey will take 3-5 minutes and help us find out how we can genuinely serve the men of our church better. Your input will directly shape how we plan future events, timing, formats, mentoring opportunities, and smaller groups.
Thanks for taking a few minutes to help us build something meaningful together. As a thank you, you will be in the draw to win* a Shadowhawk LED Torch Rechargeable with 30000 Lumens. Unnecessary, but manly.
Terms and Conditions:
This giveaway will close on 31 May 2026. The winner will be drawn at random and will be announced via email on 5 June 2026. This giveaway is for 18+ only. Shadowhawk Torch Rechargeable with 30000 Lumens RRP $54. Clayton Church of Christ is not affiliated with Shadowhawk.

CCVT Summit 2026: Celebration & Ordination Service
Our church has the privilege of hosting the CCVT Summit, where eight of our staff will be ordained into ministry – Ps Paul, Ps Phanin, Ps Kyle, Ps Phoebe, Ps Sheron, Shamilla, Bill and Margaret. Ordination may be a new or unfamiliar concept for many of us, but at its heart, it is a significant moment of recognition. Through a journey of training, practical experience, and prayerful discernment, both our church and the wider denomination affirm that these individuals are called to a life of ministry and service to God’s people. This will be a meaningful and celebratory occasion – not just for those being ordained, but for the whole church family. We’d love you to come along, support them, and be part of this special moment as we honour what God is doing in and through their lives.

This group is especially for anyone carrying unexpressed emotions, feeling stuck in decision-making, or longing for a deeper Spirit-to-Spirit connection with God. In a safe and encouraging environment, come experience God’s healing heart, renewed joy, and greater freedom through creativity, while enjoying meaningful fellowship as the family of God.

Seasons for Growth is an educational program that helps children explore the emotions and responses that come with change, loss and grief. The course provides a safe and supportive environment where young people can share their experiences, understand their feelings, develop problem-solving and decision-making skills, build friendships, and recognise that they are not alone.
The cost is $20 per child to cover the course materials, and the program will be led by our trained facilitator. Places are limited to eight participants, so if your child would like to take part, please register them as soon as possible.

Book of Daniel: Living by Faith when God seems Absent
Study the book of Daniel and discover how God is at work behind the scenes, sovereign over every situation, and how we can live in His favour. Explore the ways Daniel points to God’s greater plan and its ultimate fulfilment.
Be encouraged that God is always in control and will have the final victory. In the meantime, we are called to remain faithful, even in a world that can be hostile to faith in Jesus.
This course, led by Frank Rühl, is available both online and in person at church. Participants are welcome to attend in whichever way suits them best.
Dates: Tuesdays 19 May, 26 May, 2 June, 9 June (4 sessions)
Time: 8.00 pm – 10.00 pm
Fee: $30
Registration closes on 17 May. Spots are very limited, so please register early to avoid disappointment!

English Learning
Equipping you with the confidence to speak English, build friendships and feel at home
For over a decade, Encounter English Learning has empowered newcomers to Australia by helping them develop essential English skills, build connections, and settle into their new community. Our dedicated volunteer team provides a supportive space to learn the fundamentals of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English. Classes also explore Australian culture, customs, practical life skills, and include some Christian teaching.
Playgroup
A place of belonging, support, and encouragement for parents with toddlers
For over 40 years, our Playgroup has been a haven for parents with children aged 0–4. Our dedicated volunteer team provides a warm, safe, and structured environment where children learn through play, enhancing their social, motor, and cognitive skills. Parents, especially first-timers, find support for the challenges of parenthood while building connections with other families and accessing community resources.
Playgroup runs during school term on Thursdays, from 9.30 am to 11.30 am at Clayton Church.
Playgroup will resume on 29 January 2026.
Serving with Team Clayton is more than filling a role — it’s a way to live out the gifts God has given you. Through a warm welcome, a shared meal, or a simple cup of coffee, we reflect the love of Jesus in practical and meaningful ways.
Volunteering is also one of the best ways to build genuine connections, grow in faith together, and be part of what God is doing in our church community. If you’re ready to serve and belong, we’d love for you to join Team Clayton.
