FREE MEAL DELIVERY

for those in need

Love Loud provides this Meal Delivery initiative to all people in need.

Love Loud – Free Meal Delivery is an initiative of Clayton Church of Christ that first started in April where we partnered with Monash Council and Monash University to provide free meals to families and international students who were impacted by Covid 19.

In April 2020, we partnered with Monash Council and Monash University to provide free meals to families and international students who were impacted by COVID. Over the 3 years of operating, we have worked with various providers across the local community, with occasionally extras such as fresh eggs, bread, frozen pies and care packs. More than just food, our recipients receive the realisation that they’re not alone, and that someone cares about them.

Since then, Love Loud – Free Meals Delivery has grown and expanded to not only helping those impacted by the effects of COVID -19 but also to those struggling financially, mentally, physically, displaced or in crisis to get back on their feet.

To-date we have fund raised over $60,000 through our church congregation, public and 2 grants and provided over 14,000 meals.

(Note: Our Love Loud initiatives are supported by our church congregation and the public. Up to 10% of the designated giving to ’Sow A Seed’ and ‘Love Loud Meals’ funds goes to support the initiative’s operating expenses).

Thank you to our generous partners who make this program possible!

At various periods of our meal delivery, we have received grants to help finance meal costs.

The Victorian Government through the Priority Response to Multicultural Communities during Coronavirus (PRMC) program funded $11800 of meals for the period December 2021 – March 2022.
The Bendigo Community Bank (Pinewood) has operated their Pitch It! community grant funding program and we have been finalists for 2020 and 2021, receiving $2900 and $2800 respectively. The 2021 grant funding covered meals for the period March – May 2022.
