Thomas Lui
Thomas is our Cantonese Ministries Director in Jien (基恩中文堂).
Prior to relocating to Australia in 2021, he held the title of chartered engineer in Hong Kong and amassed 30 years of experience in the utilities industry. Thomas and his wife, Hebe, are parents to two teenage daughters.
In 2012, a remarkable event unfolded when all four members of his family narrowly escaped the tragedy of the Hong Kong Lamma Island ferry collision, which claimed the lives of 39 individuals. Their testimonial journey commenced in 2021, when they were initially invited to share their story with Jien, subsequently leading to their roles as leaders within the Cantonese congregation post-Covid in 2022. In September 2023, Thomas assumed the position of director overseeing the Cantonese congregation. Presently, he is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Christian Studies at Thirdmill Seminary.
