One of the key values in discipleship is hearing and obeying the Word. Therefore, it is important to have accountability to one another for our step of obedience from studying the Word. Spend the first part of your discussion asking – how did your step of obedience go from last time we met?

Read Luke 5:1 – 11

• What do these passages tell us about God?
• What do these passages tell us about you and your life?
• What did you like about this passage?
• What did you not like about this passage?

Noddy shared that there is power when God asks us to do something and obey. The invitation to do what He says is the path to fruitfulness even though it doesn’t make sense.

Discuss one or more of the following questions:

• Share an experience when God asked you to do something that didn’t make sense? What was the outcome?
• Reflecting on your example, what are some of the things you had to confront in order to obey God?
• What was the secret to Peter’s fruitfulness in his fishing experience? How is this connected with our fruitfulness in catching men?
