SOAR Discussion Questions  |  7 July 2019

As part of our church’s vision to build disciples who represent Jesus to everyone, everywhere, with everything, our hope is to see disciples representing Jesus not just here in Australia, but all around the globe. As Christians, we know that God’s mission is important, but surely not all of us are called to go and be missionaries overseas, right? So, what does the Bible really say about missions and what is our role in it all? Join us over the next four weeks as we unpack what God’s word says about the nations.

Discuss one or more of the following questions:

Which part of the video impacted you the most and why?  In what way can you or your Life Group help in correcting this imbalance?

2.  If Jesus is King/Lord (Rev 5:1-9) and has called us to make disciples of all people groups (Matt 28:18-20), what are the implications for you and your Life Group’s involvement in God’s mission to the nations?

3.  In what way can you or your Life Group support our missionaries?  Consider adopting one of our missionaries to support, pray and have regular contact.

4.  How can your Life Group pray for the nations? Check out the Operation World website for resources:

Choose a people group that your Life Group can pray for on a regular basis.

5.  Of the 6 ways that you can get involved in God’s mission (Go/Send/Welcome/Mobilise/Learn/Pray) which one are you already involved in? If you are not involved in any, which area do you think you could get involved?  What is your next step?
